Despite multiyear drought conditions in many parts of the United States, storm-water management remains a constant challenge, not just in these areas but everywhere. Adding to the challenges are a greater interest in lower-impact development, growing imperatives to handle storm water at thernsource rather than downstream, better monitoring of runoff data, and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations-the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase Ⅱ,-which applies stringent requirement to a greater number of sites.
