The American Institute of Architects has announced the creation of a series of approximately 150 Web-based short movies that will feature buildings chosen by the public. Dubbed Shape of America, the series is designed to further the public dialogue about architecture and its effect on daily life by providing information about how architecture is created and the importance of design and sustainable development for communities. The series was launched with episodes that focus on the Empire State Building, Boston's Fenway Park, Chicago's Tribune Tower, and the National Air and Space Museum, in Washington, D.C. The films may be accessed.
