The serpentine Gallery's 2009 Pavilion, an ethereal, free-form structure that appears to float across a park and through trees like smoke, opens this month in London's Kensington Gardens. The pavilion was designed by the architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of Toyko-based SANAA; the structural engineering was performed by the London office of Arup.
