Water Resources Bill Becomes House Priority after Government Shutdown Ends

From late September through mid-October, Congress focused almost exclusively on efforts to implement a continuing resolution that would finance the federal government for all or a portion of the current fiscal year and address the issue of raising the debt limit. As a result, other legislative efforts were put on hold, including plans by the House to take up a recently introduced bill to authorize water resources projects.
