The reality of climate change has brought increasing attention to the scientific and environmental aspects, as well as to such other areas as strategic defense planning and, of course, the potential economic ramifications not just of various actions and solutions but also of inaction. The premise behind The Climate Casino is that broadly as a civilization we are rolling the dice with the future of that very civilization. Author and Yale economics professor William Nordhaus, Ph.D.,who has studied the issue for two decades, argues that our collective behavior has walked us into a metaphorical casino in which we could lose it all.
