国土交通省におけるレーダ雨量計開発の歴史と今後の方向性

今年は、レーダ雨量計について1966年に旧建設省が研究を開始して以来、50年目の節目の年である。それ以後の長年の研究の積み重ねにより、河川·道路防災に必須の情報インフラとしての地位を獲得した。その基盤となった旧建設省～国交省における過去の研究を振り返ることで、今後の方向性を考えるー助としたい。%This year 2016 has marked the 50th anniversary since the former Ministry of Construction (MOC) set out to research a precipitation radar system in 1966. Long-standing efforts on the research and development since then have established this precipitation radar system as the fundamental infrastructure indispensable for disaster management in rivers and roads. The authors reviewed the past studies by the former MOC and its successor Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), wishing to make the review as a foundation to find a future direction of the MLIT precipitation radar system.
