On the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the signing of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer (16 September 1987), the Parties to the Protocol reunited for their 19th Annual Meeting in Montreal, Canada, from 15 to 20 September 2007. Although the ozone layer will not heal for several decades, this has been the most successful international environmental agreement, with most of the 191 member-nations on track to achieve their goals.
