Much work has been done on radar calibration in recent years since the inversion and classification algorithms rely heavily on the precision of measured radar data. In order to take the quantitative backscattering measurement, external calibration should be carried out. At precent, one of the common calibration methods is the point-target method. However, a number of disadvantages appear using this method. For example, it is required that the ratio of the signal of the point target to the backgroundbe high enough. The interactions between the calibrator and the surrounding surface will also cause errors, Furthermore, geometric distortion will appear during the manufacture of large-size calibrators. Therefore, it is an efficient method to calibrateradar data using distributed targets.
