Outpatient diagnostic hysteroscopy: analysis of 429 cases

Conclusions outpatient hysteroscopy and suc- tion curettage is a safe, cost-effective and acceptable procedure. Objective To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of outpatient hysteroscopy. Methods Outpatient CO_2 hysteroscopy using video-camera for monitoring was performed on 429 pa- tients from November 1995 to December 1996. The in- dications included post-menopausal bleeding (32.2/100), menorrhagia (25.4/100), irregular bleeding (2.7/100), intermenstrual spotting (10.21/100) and oth- ers (7.5/100).
