There have been many reports on suppurative arthritis of hip arising from metaphyseal osteomyelitis in pediatric patients. However, only a few articles on this disease in the knee joint appeared. We encountered a patient with this condition, in whom MR imaging was more useful than bone scintigraphy in its early diagnosis.
