Low dose hormone therapy in reproductive endocrinology in China

The human endocrine system normally functions in a balanced physiological state. Any excess or deficiency will cause an endocrine imbalance and result in hyper-or hypo-function, requiring readjustment by hormone suppression or supplementation in order to reestablish a normal physiological balance. Hormone treatment is the most important therapy for the management of reproductive endocrine problems. Selection of the prpper hormone is of first priority, followed by dosage adjustment and the choice of a continuous or sequential regimen. Physicians usually follow pharmacological recommendations on the use of the drugs, while trying to adjust the formula to suit the different clinical needs of patients. The following examples show how low doses result in good clinical practice.
