Clinical Observation on Treatment of 122 Dysmenorrhea Patients with Danshinone

Danshinone (DS) is a general name of some ethanol extracts of Radix Salviae Miltior-rhiza (SM). Since DS possesses the female sex hormone-like bioactivity, which is milder than estradiol and can decrease the blood PGF_(2α) level, the author used DS and/or Aifu Nuangong Pill to treat dysmenor-rhea with good effect obtained.
