This large-scale research program on Chinese herbs has provided a basis for team-work and integrated research in the past 9 years. We have set up many screening models in vitro and in vivo, which allow us to easily purify the active constituents from Chinese herbs and to assay their biological activities. We expect to further excavate the treasures of Chinese herbs and develop new drugs via gathering chemical, pharmaceutical, pharmacological and clinical specialists to work together in integrated and cooperative teams.
