Second hydrocarbon-generation from organic matter trapped in fluid inclusion in carbonate rocks

The mechanism and significance of second hydrocarbon-generation from organic mat- ter trapped in fluid inclusions in carbonate rocks are discussed. The types of organic matter and the relationship between the are also reviewed. The organic matter trapped in inclusions and crystals, which account for more than 20/100 of the total organic matter in carbonate rocks, may be of great significance in the generation of hydrocarbons.
