Shanghai Unicom selects Sycamore Networks multiservice switching solution to scale mobile RAN infrastructure

Sycamore Networks Inc., a provider of intelligent networking solutions for fixed-line and mobile network operators worldwide, announced that Shanghai Unicom, a subsidiary of China Unicom, has selected Sycamore's DNX-88 multiservice cross-connect and ENvision network management system to optimize and scale its mobile Radio Access Network (RAN) infrastructure in response to growing demand for wireless services.
