Currently, there have been more than 20 low permeability oilfields have come under development in Daqing peripheral areas. Because of low reserves, low permeability and low reservoir productivity, the development way for such kinds of oilfields must depend on the latest technology advance. The first disadvantage is the poor crude oil properties, which have high pour point, high viscosity, high paraffin, low G/O ratio, correspondingly making the treatment more difficult. The second disadvantage is the poor development environment. Daqing oilfield is located in the high latitude, with a long freezing time. The lowest average monthly temperature is up to -19.9℃, and the extreme lowest temperature up to -39.3℃. On the other hand, low G/O ratio result in the lack of fuel for crude oil gathering and transportation. And generally in these oilfields, block areas are small, and the developing blocks scatter about, far away from the old surface facility system, such as water supply system, electrical supply system, and road, telecommunication.
