LyondellBasell Names Gallogly CEO, Adds to Chapter 11 Filing

LyondellBasell Industries has named James Gallogly CEO, replacing Volker Trautz who is retiring. Gallogly is the former head of Chevron Phillips Chemical, a 50-50 joint venture of ConocoPhillips and Chevron. The appointment is subject to approval by the US bankruptcy court overseeing LyondellBasell's reorganization plan. LyondellBasell announced earlier this month that it would add 13 non-operating entities to its Chapter 11 reorganization filing. All of the added companies are US-based and were added for administrative purposes, LyondellBasell says.
