APPLICATION OF ACTIVE MAGNETIC BEARINGS IN TURBOCOMPRESSORS AND TURBOEXPANDERS OF THE GAS INDUSTRY

Technical feasibility and advantages of magnetic bearings for the users in most processes of the oil and gas industry were demonstrated on numerous installations in diverse operating conditions. Minimal servicing and a reliability that surpasses the reliability of other similar installations are ensured. Although magnetic bearings are by no means substitutes (are not designed for this purpose) for usual bearings in all cases of use, their economic reliability is now proved, especially when it is possible to eliminate application of the lubricating oil system.
