EXPERIENCE FROM THE OPERATION OF A CONICAL VORTEX TUBE WITH NATURAL GAS

Experimental data obtained during test blow-throughs of the CVT allow such products to be calculated and designed in a substantiated way for use as an integrated part of NG liquefaction and cleaning plants with a wide range of input parameters. The results obtained warrant recommendation of CVTs for use in NG liquefaction and cleaning plants as a source of additional cold production (cold stream) as well as a generator of hot gas (hot stream) for periodic heating of heat exchangers.
