摘要

Sealing elements made of materials based on thermoexpansive graphite (TEG) and its composites are now coming into increasingly widespread use in world practice (in power engineering, and the chemical, petrochemical, and oil-and-gas industries) for the sealing of flanged connections (Fig. 1).The following unique properties are inherent to these materials: low density, relatively high elasticity, stability in many aggressive media, thermal stability, etc.
