摘要

There has been collaboration over research between the All-Russia Railroad Transportation Research Institute, the State Water Transportation Institute, Gomel State Technical University, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and Bryansk State Technical University concerning the estimation of residual working life for cast components in the support to tank wagons model 18-100 that have worked for more than 30 years, which has shown that one can extend their working life by ten years if the components contain no working or manufacturing defects. The design features of the side frames and beams above the springs show that existing eddy-current, ferroprobe, and magnetic-powder nondestructive test methods do not always provide for identifying defects on the inside of the components or at depths inaccessible to these methods.
