GAS-DISTRIBUTION STATIONS AND MEANS OF THEIR AUTOMATION

Gas-distribution stations (GDS) are intended for the delivery of a prescribed amount of gas under a certain pressure and with the required degree of cleaning and metering of the flow rate of the gas. GDS are a component part of gas-supply establishments, and provide consumers (population centers, industrial and agricultural establishments, and other entities) with gas from arterial pipelines and gas mains-taps. GDS have been fabricated at the Bryansk Metalwork and Production Equipment Plant (BZMTO) since 1997. The first experimental station completely furnished with imported components with a productivity of 10000 m~3/h was fabricated and installed in Zhukovka (Bryansk Oblast), where it is still in operation. Concurrently, a station was designed utilizing only domestic components which then successfully passed acceptance and delivery-trial tests and was incorporated in a GDS series under the name Snezhet'. At the present time, more than 24 series-produced stations and a number of their modifications are being marketed (see Fig. 1).
