Characteristics of single and double heater draw-textured yarns/fabrics

False twist draw-textured yarns were prepared using single heater and double heater of the texturing machine. Fabrics were prepared using these yarns as weft and fabrics were tested for handle, crease recovery, abrasion and air permeability. The results revealed that double heater draw-textured yarn-fabrics manufactured using primary as well as secondary heater can produce fabrics with better drapability, crease recovery and air permeability as compared to stretched yarn fabrics.
