Rosneft/CNPC New PX capacity in China

PetroChina-Rosneft Orient Petrochemical (Tianjin) Company Ltd., Tiarijin/China, a joint venture of Russia's state-owned oil giant Rosneft, Moscow, (49%) and China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), Shanghai/China (51 %), was established for construction of an oil refining and petrochemical package in the industrial zone of Nangang in Tianjin with a primary crude-processing capacity of 16 million tons/year and a package for production of aromatic hydrocarbons with a capacity of 1.4 million tons/year of paraxylene (PX). The refinery at Nangang in Tianjin is scheduled to start up in late 2019.
