We demonstrate the powerful combination of dip-pen nanolithography (DPN) performed on non-flat plasmonic gold surfaces and subsequent detection by surface enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS).rnDip-pen nanolithography (DPN), is a versatile technique in which a scanning probe microscope tip can be used to deliver a material ("ink") to a surface via a water meniscus. DPN allows controlled deposition of a wide range of materials such as (but not limited to) alkyl thiols, silazanes, Au(III) complexes and nanoparticles. The size of the feature being written is related to a complex interaction between the tip, ink, meniscus and surface.
