An exclusively chelating ligand bridged high-valent [Mn~(IV)_3) complex has been synthesized, in which all Mn~(IV) ions are ferromagnetically-coupled to exhibit an S_T = 9/2 spin ground state.rnIn recent years, high-valent manganese cluster compounds have been the focus of considerable research efforts due to their potential for use in catalysis, in modelling photosystem II and in magnetochemistry.
