摘要

The first organic-inorganic hybrid vanadoniobate cluster compounds with a bicapped Keggin-type {VNb_(12)O_(40)(VO)2} core have been synthesized and characterized. Polyoxoniobates (PONs) have received more attention in the past two decades, as a consequence of their fascinating properties and their potential applications in virology, nuclear-waste treatment, the base-catalyzed decomposition of biocontaminants, and photolysis of water to yield molecular hydrogen and oxygen.7'8 To date, most studies focused on the isopolyoxoniobate compounds, such as [Nb_6O_(19)]~(8-) and [Nb_(10)O_(28)]~(6-), involving some triniobium-substituted hetero-polyoxometalates.
