Here we reported on the first example of a Folic acid-based molecular hydrogel with nanosphere morphology as a delivery system for Taxol. Nanospheres,1 especially those formed by the self-assembly of amphiphilic polymers, dendrimers, and biomacromolecules such as DNA molecules and peptides, have been extensively investigated in the fields of drug delivery,2 patterning,3 lithography,4 molecular sensing,5 etc.
