摘要

A new water-soluble receptor 1 has been synthesized and it showed selective recognition of zwitterionie arginine in aqueous media. Moreover, the receptor 1 could be regard as a facile tool for protein labeling and quantitative determination (LOD++ = 15 nM). Selective recognition and analysis of zwitterionie amino acids is significant in medical diagnostics, pathogen recognition and fundamental research and it is expected to provide insights into small molecule-protein and protein-protein recognition at the molecular level.1 Of all the amino acids, selective recognition of arginine (Arg) is vital as it forms the immediate precursor of NO, urea, ornithine and agmatine; it also plays an important role in cell division, immune function and the release of hormones.
