Thin optically active polyaniline layers have been shown to function as platforms to induce optical activity in polyanilines (containing achiral dopants) that are formed by subsequent electrodeposition.There has been considerable recent interest in optically active polyanilines(PAn's)because of their potential applications in areas such as chiral sensors,electrochemical asymmetric synthesis and chiral separations.Optical activity has been most commonly induced into polyaniline emeraldine salts(PAn centre dot HA)via the incorporation(eqn(1))
