The self-assembly of Oxi-SWNTs, based on terpyridineCu~Ⅱ coordination, produces a thermally stable, neutral [(Oxi-SWNT)(tpyCu~Ⅱ)_m]_n nanocomposite possessing notable lumi-nscence properties; quantitative disassembly occurred by treatment with aqueous KCN.
