Health hazards and prevention potentials in the building materials industry

Gesunde und motivierte Mitarbeiter sind das wichtigste Kapital eines Unternehmens, denn sie haben entscheidenden Einfluss auf die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und Innovationskraft. Um den Gesundheitsschutz besser auf Problemschwerpunkte in der Branche abzustimmen und dieses Kapital zu stärken, analysierte die Stein-bruchs-Berufsgenossenschaft Daten zum Unfall- und Berufskrankheitengeschehen sowie zu den krankheitsbedingten Fehlzeiten in der Baustoff-Industrie. Darauf aufbauend leitet sie Präventionsmaßnahmen und Konzepte zum Gesundheitsmanagement im Betrieb ab.%Healthy and motivated employees are the most important capital of a company because they influence most decisively its competitiveness and innovative strength. The Institution for statutory accident insurance and prevention in the quarrying industry analysed data of accidents and occupational diseases as well as the time absent owing to illness in order to attune the health protection to the main problems of the branch in a better way and to strengthen this capital. Preventive measures and concepts for the health management in the companies are derived from these analyses.
