Under the existing and future legal provisions for recycling and disposal of waste, the disposal of gypsum-containing waste is made extremely expensive for the user. For this reason, the European gypsum industry must demonstrate to its customers viable alternative and cost-saving disposal routes. The German Confederation of the Gypsum Industry is currently developing for Germany a concept for the construction of strategically sited recycling facilities for plasterboard waste. The plasterboard waste processed in these recycling plants will be returned to the gypsum industry's production cycles. The Confederation is also drafting quality specifications for acceptance of recycled gypsum.%Nach der bestehenden und zukünftigen Rechtslage zur Verwertung und Beseitigung von Abfällen wird die Entsorgung von gipshaltigen Abfällen für den Verarbeiter stark verteuert. Die europäische Gipsindustrie muss deshalb ihren Kunden alternative, Kostensparende Entsorgungswege aufzeigen. Vom Bundesverband der Gipsindustrie wird für Deutschland ein Konzept für die Aufstellung von Recyclinganlagen für Gipsplattenabfälle an strategisch wichtigen Standorten entwickelt. Die in den Recyclinganlagen aufbereiteten Gipsplattenabfälle werden in die Produktionskreisläufe der Gipsindustrie zurückgeführt. Für die Abnahme des Recyclinggipses wurden vorn Bundesverband der Gipsindustrie Qualitätsanforderungen aufgestellt.
