Special cement for high performance concrete

During this year's Ulmer BetonTage Dyckerhoff AG received the 2008 Innovation Award of the Supply Industry for Concrete Components in the category "concrete technology" for their special cement NANODUR~R (Fig.). Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Wolf Reinhardt from Stuttgart University presented the award to Martin Mollmann, manager of Dyckerhoff AG and responsible for product marketing. Dyckerhoff immediately donated the award prize money to the Forderverein der Bundesfachschule fur Betonwerker (Friends of the Federal Technical College for the Concrete Industry) at Ferdinand-von-Steinbeis-school in Ulm. With this award the jury not only acknowledged the high degree of innovation of the premium cement based on the Mikro-dur technology but also its future market and application potential for the manufacture of high-performance concrete.
