Technology for the lime industry

More than 40 predominantly German-speaking participants (Fig. 1) from the lime industry gathered in Dannenfels, close to Kaiserslautern, in Germany's Palatinate region, from February 6th to 8th, 2008, to obtain information on "Alternative fuels in daily use for lime calcining".The meeting's international counterpart, with some 30 guests from around the globe, then followed a few days later, from February 11th to 13th, 2008 (Fig. 1).The host was the M-Group, with a leading role of the Schwab GmbH, supplier via various subsidiary and partner companies of refractory solutions and plant systems. In the focus of the workshop, the company had in the very truest sense included a hot topic on the agenda. Integrated into an extremely successful background program, participants enjoyed a stimulating and topical range of technical lectures and exhibitions.
