Since the company was founded in 1922 by his grandfather Prof. Dr. Heinrich Aumund and continued by his father Guenter Claus Aumund, Franz-W. Aumund has been working in the company since 1966, now in the 3rd generation, and for more than 30 years has been the head of the worldwide leading AUMUND group of companies for conveying and storage technology of bulk materials as managing partner. The AUMUND Group sets technological standards worldwide with highly reliable machines for the transport and storage of bulk materials in numerous key industries such as cement, lime, gypsum, mining & minerals, steel & iron, chemical industry, fertilizers, substitute fuels as well as ports and terminals. In an interview, Franz-W. Aumund tells us what makes the Group successful, why he attaches so much importance to the international cohesion of the AUMUND Group members, why he has a strong social commitment and how he sees the future.
