Incubation of dinoflagellate Crythecodinium cohnii chro- mosomes in cytoplasmic extracts of unfertilized Xenopus lae- vis eggs resulted in chromosomes decondensation and reconden- sation, nuclear envelope assembly, and nuclear reconstitution. Dinoflagellate Crythecodinium cohnii is a kind of primitive eu- Kayryote which possesses numerous permanently condensed chro- Mosomes and discontinuous bouble-layered nuclear membrane throughout the cell cycle.
