In February CDS returned to the Chicago Hilton and Towers as its Midwinter Meeting headquarters hotel after a 23-year hiatus.rnThe hotel opened as the Stevens Hotel in 1927. You can still see an S above the main door of the Michigan Avenue entrance. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens' family had made a fortune in insurancernand owned the LaSalle Hotel when the family built the Stevens during a hotel boom in Chicago.
