Preparation and characterization of sulfated titanium-modified pillared montmorillonite

摘要

Sulfated titanium-modified pillared montmorillonits using (NH_4)_2SO_4 and H_2SO_4 have been prepared. The influence of the method of sulfation and of the SO~2_4/Ti mole ratio was studied. An important effect in both the basal spacings and the acidic proper- ties was observed when (NH_4)_2SO_4 is present in the solution of intercalation.
