Principal Cataloger and Head of the Technical Services Division in the Special Collections Library at UCLA and past editor-in-chief of the OLAC Newsletter (OnLine Audiovisual Catalogers), Fletcher has written a book to provide an all-in-one resource for catalogers facing bound-with books, denned as more than one item bound together in a single item. Particularly for those working in special collections, but also for anyone who has been faced with a volume containing more than one book, readers will appreciate this overview of how to deal with this specialized type of material, and the related history of past practice. Part of the "Third Millennium Cataloging" series, the concepts presented here will assist a cataloger using any standard or rules to determine how best to deal with such items as they appear.
