What I like about marketing is deciding on the strategy then getting things working,' declares Karen Arlow, European residential business manager of US company Interface. And that is just what she has done over the four years since she arrived at Interface Europe. 'When I joined the company in 1994 Heuga had been taken over by Interface which had concentrated on the contract market, and my role as European residential marketing manager was new,' she recalls. It was one which was to develop too when in '96 she was given her current title and brief'to focus also on the profitability of the retail market'.
