FEDEX REPORTS STRONG INTERNATIONAL PACAKAGE VOLUME GROWTH IN Q4

FedEx reported corporate-wide net income of $419 million in its fiscal fourth quarter (ended 31 May), up from a loss of $876 million in 4QFY09. Revenue in the quarter was up 20.1 % to $9.43 billion, and the company reported operating income of $696 million, up from an operating loss of $849 million in the year-ago quarter. FedEx said the improved financial performance was driven by strong growth in international volumes in the Express Segment, and continued growth in the Ground Segment.
