Just as we were going to press, DEUTSCHE POST-DHL reported its third-quarter results. We will analyze them in detail in the next issue, but here is a summary: DP-DHL reported third-quarter net profit down 0.8% y- o-y to €382 million as total revenue rose 5.7% to €13.84 billion. Operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter was up 7.0% to €604 million. The company's three DHL segments (Express, Global Forwarding & Freight, and Supply Chain) all performed strongly. Express revenue was up 9.0% to €3.17 billion, and Express operating profit rose 6.9% to €213 million.
