German health insurer Kaufmannische Krankenkasse (KKH) and 28 corporate health insurance funds have selected German smart card manufacturer Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) to manufacture and supply around 10 million electronic healthcare cards. The delivery scope includes optical and electronic personalization of the smart cards with individual data relating to the insured persons and their insurers.
