'Groundbreaking assessment' of how companies can capitalize from cutting carbon emissions,report finds

A new report released by the World Wildlife Fund and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) has outlined how businesses can uncover profits from carbon reductions. The report, titled 'The 3% Solution: Driving Profits Through Carbon Reduction', demonstrated that if US businesses reduce emissions by on average 3% annually, they can save up to US$190 billion in 2020 alone, or $780 billion over 10 years. According to the report, this 3% reduction is enough to put the US corporate sector on track for a 25% reduction against 1990 levels.
