AmeriCam Reverse Camera

Although parking sensors have gained popularity in recent years, the majority of reverse camera systems are only fitted in expensive OE head-units in high-end models. The new AmeriCam system from British optical technology company Bierley gives any car owner the opportunity to join this shift towards reversing safety technology with a camera and screen that can be mounted wherever you like, on virtually any model of car. The AmeriCam combines a 170° viewing angle, rear view colour camera (not fish-eye) that lies flush against the bumper, linked to a slimline 3.5-inch LCD screen that can be discreetly mounted on the dahsboard. This one-cable connection can be installed quickly and easily in any car from a Model T Ford to a Bugatti Veyron - in fact, any car with a 12V reverse light - and the single 22mm hole required for the camera means the system can be fitted in around 30 minutes by any mechanically savvy motorist.
