Jaguar roars ahead

The economy might still be in the doldrums, but one British company has bucked the odds to post record profits for 2012/2013. Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) posted pre-tax profits of £1.67 billion for the period, marking an 11 % rise over the figures for 2011/2012. In addition, revenues rose to an all-time company high of £15.8 billion. In a year when the company launched the Jaguar XFR-S, revised XJ and XF Sportbrake, as well as the new Range Rover, sales in the UK increased by 20% and global sales by 22%, with 375,000 vehicles being sold worldwide.
