With the nights drawing in soon and cruising time limited in a month or so, it's a good time to review your battery monitoring, charging regime and power use. Remember it takes a very long time to fully recharge a battery bank, probably longer than most of us run the engine for each day. You also have to put back up to 50% more electricity than you took out to get back to the original position. If you do not have access to shoreline charging you will extend your battery life if you can provide wind or 30-watt plus solar charging. Both of these can be expensive, but a solar panel has extended my battery life by two years, so in the long term it's probably cost effective.
