Mikron takes to the Thames

In 38 YEARS of touring the waterway by boat, performing at waterside venues around the network, Mikron Theatre Company has never staged a show based on the River Thames - until now.rnTales of the Thames: journeys up and down the riverbank takes us on a tour of the river's past present and future in music and drama, but with misfits Itchington, Roly and Ab taking the place of more well-known Thames characters such as Ratty, Mole and Toad or Jerome K Jerome's Three Men in a Boat. The show wasrnwritten by Mikron's regular scriptwriter Richard Povall, while songwriter Jim Woodland has returned to Mikron after several years' absence to provide the music and song lyrics. Alongside the newrnshow, Mikron will also be repeating last year's show Fair Trade, which tells the story of the co-operative movement.
