In the second part of our Thames Ring journey we cruised the route taken by the working boats that used to carry goods from the Midlands down the southern Grand Union Canal towards London. Then at Brentford we turned right and followed in the wake of the Tudor Monarchs, up the Thames to Richmond and Hampton Court, finally ending our journey at Windsor. In the final part, we see another contrast as we ascend the Thames to Oxford before taking the narrow Oxford Canal to return to our starting point at Banbury.
